Basil is a male Poodle/Yorkie mix only 1 year in age. He is small, currently weighing only 11 pounds. His ideal weight is probably about 14 pounds. Basil has a fluffy, poufy, soft non-shedding coat of loose curls. His black and tan coloring is very pretty, and his adorable tan "eyebrows" give him tons of expression. Basil is a peppy little guy who is observant and intelligent. He picks up new things with ease and is highly trainable. Basil has had a rough start in life and is happily learning that people can be nice. He thrives with a gentle, soft touch and responds beautifully to a kind, encouraging voice. He wants to please and needs his people to show him the way. Basil quickly learned the joy of treats and is the first one in line for a tasty tidbit. He will probably learn basic commands with ease (and a treat). Basil will do well in a home where he can have some stability and routine. He has a fun, bubbly personality and he is discovering that he likes to play with toys. He does well with other dogs, but he is also fine on his own. Basil deserves so much better and he will fill your heart with unconditional love. He was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter. Basil is healthy and ready for his new forever loving home today!
Basil’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Basil is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Cecilia and is ready for his forever home.
