Our E litter of kittens, born approximately 8/9/14, arrived along with their mother Jacana, after they were found living beneath a vacant home. Mama is a smart girl, so she asked the neighbor to feed her, and then a few weeks later, showed the neighbor the kittens! They are all happily sharing a room at the shelter now, while they look for forever homes. Because this litter spent several of their early weeks outdoors with Mama, they are better candidates for indoor/outdoor homes than most of the other kittens we currently have listed; they have developed some street-smarts and a good survival instinct. This also means they are a little bit slower to warm up to new people than a bottle-baby or indoor-raised kitten, but once they know you, they are little purr monsters!

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome:

All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee for Ermine is suggested minimum $63 (more gratefully accepted). Discount for pair adoptions: $106 total for two! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
