My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SANDY is a 9 month old spayed yellow female Lab who weighs 36 pounds. She is from the country so may not do well in a city environment/apartment/townhouse/condo or busy neighborhood. She is a shy, petite pup and is about full grown. She is working on her commands - knows sit already, learning down and stay and how to retrieve although if you are trying to get her to retrieve a squeaky toy you may not get it back. She absolutely loves squeaky toys. She hasn't been on leash much so will need an Easy Walk harness, is crate and house trained and is great with other dogs. Sandy is a young Lab who will need an owners time and lots of loving which she will return happily. Sandy is approved for kids aged 10+.

Update 10/21 - Sandy is an awesome little package. She has arrived and her foster Mom is smitten. She gets along great with the two resident labs and loves to play with them in the yard. She is very calm for a 9 month old and is fantastic in the house. She is house trained and crate trained. She rides wonderfully in the car. She is super sweet and thrives on affection. She is not a big treat girl - affection and praise is her thing. She loves to snuggle with you on the couch and in bed. Sandy has been great with every dog that she has met and always does a play bow and maybe a little poke to get them to chase her or she is happy to chase them. She is still in little shy in the house, very submissive to humans and nervous with new experiences. Everyday she shows improvement on these.

Update (10/15): Sandy was spayed and is doing fine. She is getting used to the world, she is a bit shy when she first meets you but warms up in a minute or two. She likes to go outside and explore new things as long as she can do it at her pace. She likes other dogs and would make a nice addition to a family that is looking to add a companion for their pup.
