My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Button is a cute little lady who looks like a Maltese/Poodle mix and weighs just over 10 pounds. We are not sure of her age, but we think it's somewhere around 10 years.

Button is sweet but timid around people, and we've found, afraid if not terrified of other dogs. Once she gets to know them, Button is fine around other dogs as long as they respect her personal space and stay off her doggy bed. But she would be happiest as the only dog in the house.

One on one, she turns on the charm and will be your new best friend! She is used to being groomed, and the groomer called her a little sweetheart and put pink bows in her hair.

We know that Button is house-trained; she's never had even one accident, according to her foster home. She likes to sleep in late in the morning, doesn't bark if she knows you, and in general is a very easy, easy-going dog who just wants to lie on her doggy bed next to you. She walks nicely on a leash but prefers to be indoors when it's cold outside. Or better yet, why walk when you can drive? She is at home in the front passenger seat of the car.

Button would be the perfect dog for an experienced dog owner who wants a small companion and doesn't have other dogs or young children, who would probably frighten her.

If you have time to get to know her, give her a belly rub, and help Button regain her confidence, she will have your heart all sewn up in no time!

Button's adoption fee of $200 includes the following: vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative, and spay. And grooming!
