Grover is a sweet, funny, social pup who loves everyone and everything. We expect he'll likely be in the 50 pound range when fully grown. He is currently being fostered in the Kittery, ME area, and is ready for his perfect forever home!

The first 2 pictures above are Grover, the third is his mom, Gretchen. She is currently undergoing heart worm treatment, and will be available for adoption in about a month.

Grover is neutered, utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. He has also been microchipped. He must go to a home where he will live inside as an important member of the family.

If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application!

Grover's adoption fee is $475 which includes all age appropriate vet care, neuter, microchip and associated costs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grover, a Augusta German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Augusta, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
