CHAKA's Story...
CHAKA and siblings were lucky enough to be born into a fabulous foster home! A Good Samaritan foster opened her home to a very sweet, very pregnant girl. A little while later, these precious babies appeared. She wanted to keep them together for the first 10 weeks of their lives. Now they are ready for their forever homes.
They have reaped the benefits of having time to learn from their mom and siblings.
They are happy, healthy, smart pups who will be great family pets for years to come.
CHAKA will be 11 weeks old 10/15/14.

CHAKA has been microchipped and vaccinated as many times as age will allow.
Her $450 adoption fee includes health certificate and transport to New England.

For an adoption application on CHAKA please email

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHAKA, a knoxville Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
