George's Story...
Hi! My name is George and I am a year old mix of Schnauzer and Lhasa Apso. I have been neutered and am up to date with my shots. I’m a very silly, lovable dog that loves walks – I’m still learning my leash manners so I’m a bit wonky at first, but then I settle down and walk quite nicely with you. I’m eager to learn and now know sit and come pretty well. I am very gentle with kids and other dogs and my foster mom said I was very well behaved for my bath. My favourite part of the day is when I get to cuddle with you on the sofa. I love to give everyone lots of kisses if that is ok with you. I’m very good in the car and will sit quietly in the back seat. I sleep in my crate at night and in the morning like to run right outside to go to the bathroom. I’m a pretty easy-going dog with lots of love to give my new people. I am currently being fostered in Stouffville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Peterborough Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso for sale in Peterborough, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Peterborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Peterborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Peterborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Peterborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
