MEEKA-pending's Story...
This young 6 month old dog has just arrived on October 12th. She is a sweet, submissive girl who only weighs 23 pounds. The photos make her appear larger than she is. What a great looking dog! The markings are beautiful and the spot of pink on her nose just completes her look! Everyone says how beautiful this gal is. Although she started off a bit timid, she warmed up as she adjusted to our home. She is fostered with children and other dogs. She has no issues with other dogs. She does use the crate and is just fine with it too. She may need some basic training work but she sure just wants to please and will learn quick. Here is an additional video for you, copy and paste this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKmKbF1mwJk

Meeka is a great girl. During the week she has been in our home, she has not had one accident. She does not tell me she needs to go outside but on a good schedule we have had no issues. She gets along great with our dogs and has not yet met our cat. The children and the dogs get along fine as well. The issue with this girl is that she needs warm up time to new things. She has a timid and submissive side. Give her time and all is well. She is totally adjusted to our home, the people in our home, and our back yard. Time and attention will allow this girl to reach her full potential. She will be wonderful. The core of the dog is a good, friendly, sweet mix.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MEEKA-pending, a West Milford Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
