Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Iris is a lovely dog. She was a bit shy when she first arrived at the shelter but has opened up and bloomed into a favorite of many volunteers. What’s not to love? Iris is very affectionate, and will melt into your lap and let you stroke her head and floppy ears as she soaks it all in and shows her appreciation by gazing up with her beautiful, brown eyes. Out on walks, Iris is interested in all the sights and sounds around her and eager to meet new people, however, she is always attentive to her walker. Iris was one of the dogs chosen to attend a shelter event at a local business recently and she was a great doggie ambassador. She loved the attention and was happy to roll on the floor to let people scratch her belly. Iris attends BAD RAP training class with a volunteer handler and can continue for FREE with her adopters. Iris has also been participating in play sessions with other dogs at the shelter and she has done very well. She’s happy to join in the doggie fun but doesn’t always need to be at the center of the action. Iris seems to most enjoy the company of her human friends. We would love to see this dear girl find a loving home for the holidays!
