Jethro is a handsome 1.5 year old little guy, with a story to share. He’s truly a diamond in the rough. Everyone who meets him can see how amazing he is by looking into his gorgeous eyes.
He and his mother, a chocolate Labrador, were living with their owner who loved them oh so very much. Then one day, their owner got really sick. Turns out it was cancer. They stood by their owner’s side until the cancer grew into stage 4 terminal, and was placed in a hospice facility. Jethro and his mother were then taken by family members to a local pound and surrendered. His mother was adopted, and Jethro was labeled a heartworm positive dog. Volunteers raised donations to cover his treatment, and Jethro was rescued by the amazing women at P.S. I Love You Animal Rescue. After immediately going to their trusted veterinarian, and numerous testing later, it turns out that Jethro is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! He is completely healthy and currently in a wonderful foster home.
Jethro has been through so much in such a short period of time, and has never lost his kind soul. He truly needs someone who can be patient, loving, and teach him how to trust again before taking him into new situations. He pays close attention to everything his foster mother says, and is very willing to learn. If you’re a kind, calm, and gentle person, then Jethro is your perfect match.
