Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shasta, pulled from a high kill shelter in rural Alabama and currently being fostered regionally in RI, is approximately a purebred American Eski. She is smaller than she appears in her pics....smallest range of medium. She is a very sweet girl with a delicate soul who has had a hard time of things and is looking for someone with a nurturing heart; she was very scared when we collected her. She absolutely loves being held, be it curled in your lap or being carried around. Shasta appears to be well housebroken, and lets you know when she needs to go. She does not appear to have leash experience, so our best advice is to either have an attached fenced yard or have some experience in teaching a softer adult dog to walk on leash, as that will take patience and time. Dog tolerant, she seems good with all people and will make a marvelous pet! Due to her being a little scared and having some things to learn (leashing walking, etc.) we do not recommend her as a first time dog, but she will be very rewarding for someone with a rescuer's heart to adopt.
