Barney's Story...
Barney is a sweet 10 month old terrier mix who weighs all of 12 lbs. He is good with dogs, sleeps nicely in a crate and walks well on a leash without pulling. He is friendly to other dogs on his walks and gets along well with people. He is medium to high puppy energy. He is crate trained. He does bark and growl at cats. He is still a baby and has bursts of puppyish energy followed by long naps!. He is not a barker and he is food motivated which is great for training. He does play bite a little but he can be trained not to. Barney is sweet and loving. He seems to look for his foster for cues and is very smart. An all around great little guy! He doesn't bark at all. Unfortunately he likes to chew furniture even though he has plenty of toys so may need redirection.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Encino Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Encino, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
