Faith's Story...
Faith, a beautiful name for a beautiful dog! I am a sweet older puppy, just looking for a special someone to take me home. I am still learning all the new things New England has to offer, and would love to find someone to show me around! The folks here at the shelter believe I am a Siberian Husky mix, and I am about ten months old, meaning I still have a little bit of growing to do and I should be medium sized when full grown. Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Faith, a Gloucester Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
