My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Terrance's adoption fee is $350. Terrance is a frustrated hockey player. Yes, you read that correctly. One of his favourite pastimes is to play hockey with his empty dinner bowl. Terrance was brought into a vet clinic as a stray. The vet clinic believes it was actually Terrance`s own family who turned him in because he was limping. With a bit of rest and medication, Terrance is 100% healthy again. Dachshunds are prone to back issues, so Terrance will always have to be careful about stairs and jumping (and maintaining a healthy weight). We believe Terrance is around 3 years old, and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro chipped. He weighs about 12 pounds. He is a happy boy, getting along with people and the rest of the dachshunds in his foster home with Tiny Paws Dog Rescue Canada. Terrance can be vocal about his needs and a bit "chatty" sometimes, so he would be better suited to a single family dwelling than apartment life. He loves to race around in the fenced in backyard at his foster home. He will mark his territory, especially in the beginning, but this has significantly diminished with time in his foster home. There will be an adjustment period for Terrance to transfer his house training skills to a new environment. He uses pee pads when necessary while his foster mom is at work. Terrance does wrestle and play with the other dogs, sometimes he can get a bit pushy and dominant. We don't know his history, to be able to say if Terrance would be happy as an only dog or not.
