Julie's Story...
Julie is a 4 month old female kitten that has extra toes in the front and back: 22 toes instead of the regular 18! Cats with this feature are called "polydactyl", "mitten cats" or "Hemingway cats". Julie loves playing chase and wrestling with her foster cat buddy, Vinnie. Loud noises and sudden movements scare her; so currently Julie is too nervous for little kids. As soon as you pick up this beautiful red patch tabby, she starts purring like a motorcycle! Julie likes to cuddle and give kisses to her foster mom under the bedcovers. If you are interested in adopting Julie, call the foster Linda M. at 419-380-2499. - See more at: http://www.plannedpethood.org/cats/available.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julie, a Toledo Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
