My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy is a male Cockatiel that is waiting to be adopted into his forever home.  Poppy doesn’t seem to have a preference over men or women and he particularly seems to like children.  He gets excited when children come talk to him in his cage – particularly boys.  He is a vocal little bird.  He says a few words like “pretty Poppy”, “pretty bird, Poppy”, and something that sounds like “Wait for me!”  He loves to whistle and will whistle back to you often.  He is tame and he loves to be talked to.  While he is not fond of hands and being held or petted, he will step from person to person once you get him out of his cage.  HE absolutely loves to be out.  He also loves to sit atop his cage and see what’s going on around him.  He has been vet checked and is in good health.  He will make a great family pet.  Poppy is currently being fostered in Manitowoc, WI.  If you would like to meet Poppy, please contact us!
