My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"My name is PALOMA (that means "dove" in Spanish), and I'm a three-year-old Chihuahua with a heart of gold. My story starts out sad. I was found injured on the side of the road. After getting medical attention, I was brought here, to the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I've been receiving lots of love and care, so now I'm feeling great and I'm ready to be adopted to a kind and loving person or family. If a family adopts me, I'd want the kids to be older and considerate of my tender nature. I get along nicely with other dogs, and I'm a world-class snuggle-bug. I enjoy going for walks, too. Just look into my beautiful brown eyes and you'll know that I'm absolutely sweet, and truly special. The shelter staff isn't sure if I've been house trained. I know how to sit on command, so I can probably pick up on just about anything you'd like to teach me, as long as you're patient, kind, and consistent. I sure hope you'll come visit me. When you hold me close, you'll never want to let me go. I can practically guarantee it. Maybe my story will have a happy ending. Love, Paloma" Kennel #11
