My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Found wandering the streets of Paramount, Greta was impounded at a local shelter, and her owners never came to find her. Once one of our foster parents spotted her in her cage at the shelter, scared out of her wits, it was clear that Greta deserved to be a Heigl Hound of Hope. We are not really sure what Greta is, but we suspect she is a Boston Terrier mixed with a larger breed dog. At around a year and a half old, Greta is already full-grown at a petite 21 pounds. But Greta still looks like an adorable puppy, and she is just as sweet as one too.

Greta is being fostered in a home with a little dog, a big dog and a cat, all males. While Greta is getting along well with all of her foster siblings, she is just learning how much fun it can be to play with other dogs. She seems to love her humans the best of all, preferring to stay close by, laying right next to them or at their feet. Greta is partially house-trained and we expect her to be fully house-trained very soon. She is also just learning the benefits of the crate as safe-space. She walks well on a leash, and loves her chew toys and balls. While Greta could benefit from a home with a yard, we think she would also do just as well in a smaller living space, as long as she gets regular exercise and a lot of love.
