My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When a Farfel's volunteer first met Raisin, she was struck first by her cuteness...how could you not be? Her curious and very affectionate personality (so typical of a happy and well-socialized puppy) became the entertainment of the day...so funny and cute that you just had to periodically hug her. We were all very glad that she wouldn't remember the terrible challenges of her youngest days...Code Red at a dreary shelter. As hope seemed to fade away for Raisin, Farfel's got an email that she needed rescue and that her situation was very urgent. Through the love and immediate action of rescuers in Kansas, Raisin was saved at the very last second. She's learning so quickly and understanding that the world can be a very positive place. We are so excited for the life that is in store for this little gal!

We are searching for the most loving home for this exceptional girl so she learns positive skills resulting in a strong bond with her family. We would also like a home where the family is present...it can be a retired couple or individual who has the energy and patience for a young pup. Or a family with children that choose to include their pet in their daily lives. Since Raisin will require training to mold her into a great and bonded adult companion, we feel strongly about puppy socialization classes and later Obedience I to promote good behavior and peaceful relationships with humans and dogs. It's also important that Raisin is given mental stimulation and lots of exercise. It's never too early to start teaching leash manners on the incredible trails of Colorado....this will develop Raisin into a fit and stable companion.
Kansas vets feel that Raisin is too young to be spayed. Farfel's will be happy to take responsibility for Raisin's spay and microchipping after she arrives in Colorado and when she's about 18 weeks old.
Raisin has a baby coat that with great nutrition and periodic baths/brushing will become the gorgeous and cottony-soft coat of an adult Aussie. We can't identify another breed present in Raisin... but can't commit that she's a purebred Australian Shepherd.
Raisin will arrive on transport in Denver on 10/25. If interested in this fun-loving and very sweet puppy, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. Please put ATTN: CASEY in the subject line.
