Cuddly, snuggly, wrinkly, affectionate and all smiles! This is Esther, our wonderful American Bulldog/Sharpei Mix. She was born around April, 2012 and weighs 44 pounds. She was rescued with her 3 adorable babies in the Corridor of Cruelty and they were all in terrible condition. The 3 baby girls have all found loving new families and it’s time for Momma Esther to find her family too. This girl is so laid-back and loves to go for walks and gets along with everyone she meets. She enjoys walking and playing with the dog friends in her life and although she hasn’t been around too many cats, she was kind to the two she’s met recently. She really enjoys the company of people and people always stop at the park just to pet her and tell her how adorable and sweet she is. Esther is a great companion dog and because she’s so sweet, she would be a great therapy dog or a perfect dog to work with children. She would love to live with a family that would always show her lots of affection. She clearly didn’t have any of that for the first couple years of her life, so she’s taking it all in and loving every minute of it. Her giant smile will make you smile even if you are having a bad day. She is a people pleaser and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She’s a low to medium energy girl. She does love to play and walk on her leash, but she’s not built like a runner. She has wrinkles and jowls that are just going to melt your heart! She had some health issues when she was rescued that have all been cleared up. She’s recently been given a clean bill of health and is currently living in a foster home learning so many things about being loved and cared for. Esther currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Portland because we have amazing volunteers who live here to help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The grand total for adopting this pet including adoption fee and airline/transportation fee to the Portland airport is $375.
