Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**12/4/14 Update** Lester had to have his eye removed due to a severe infection. He has adjusted well and is quite the happy guy!
When we met Lester in a high kill shelter, he was on stray hold. Sadly, he was extremely matted and emaciated but that allowed us to take him into rescue on early medical release. Since being in foster, Lester has a cute new haircut and his foster parents have been working to fatten him up, though he still needs to gain a couple pounds. This little 9-10 year old Shih-Tzu is a very low key guy whose favorite activities include napping, begging for treats and cuddling. At only 9 lbs, Lester has an adorable smoosh face and cute bow legs. He is perfectly happy living with dogs and cats, though he loves being with his people most of all. While we don't know Lester's past, this little guy can be startled by loud noises so he would be happiest in a calm, quiet home. Lester is trained to use pee pads but also enjoys his time outside. He is not comfortable being crated but he does well gated in the kitchen in his foster home. Lester is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
