Huxley is a male Shih Tzu mix approximately 3 years in age. He is a solid, bigger boy weighing in at 17 pounds full grown. Huxley has been professionally groomed and currently has a shorter haircut. His coat should grow out in long, non-shedding beautiful gray and white waves. His coat is very soft and fluffy and wonderful to pet. Huxley is a sweet, mellow, mild mannered boy. He has a kind, loving heart and is wonderful with adults and children alike. He is also fantastic with other dogs and a dream out in public. Huxley is 100% housetrained, cheerfully social and always appropriate in his behavior. He walks nicely on leash and rides well in the car. He loves being with his people more than anywhere else and will follow you dutifully from room to room. Huxley is never in the way and is fabulous company inside the home. His indoor behavior is excellent. Huxley will no doubt make a very loyal, devoted, and affectionate pet. He has a true heart of gold. Huxley was brought in to a very high-volume/high-kill shelter in a deplorable, awful state of neglect. He had obviously not been cared for in years and his dirty matted coat was sad to see. Since his rescue, Huxley has been professionally groomed and after several glorious baths he is recovered nicely and looking like quite the little prince! His coat will grow back completely and he is going to be a stunning head turner. Huxley deserves so much better and definitely would love to be appreciated more than he has been so far in his life. He remains a sweet, kind, adorably affectionate dog and is obviously very forgiving. He is going to make an awesome pet. Huxley is ready for his new forever home today!
Huxley’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Huxley is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Vince and is ready for his forever home.
