My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Ben. I am almost 6 years old (my birthday is December 2, 2008) and I weighed 73 lbs the last time I was at the vet.
My owner has contacted the pound and is in desperate need of re-homing me.
I am a great boy in the house. I am completely housebroken. I have free range of the house along with 5 out of 6 of the other dogs in my pack when my mom isn't home. I don't chew anything up or do anything bad anything.
I was a very good boy all of the other dogs in the pack (6 other dogs) a little over a year ago when I was adopted by my new family. Within the last few months I haven't been getting along with one of my dog brothers. He is older and I beat him up every chance I get now. To reiterate: I get along perfectly well with the other 5 dogs in my household and I even stay loose with them in the house while my owners are away. My mom takes him to work with her during the day so that I have time to be out and she doesn't have to worry about my brother. I do have to stay in a crate when my brother is home because I will go at him for no good reason at all. My brother gets terrified when it's time for him to come home now.
My family is at their wit's end about what to do with me. They have had professional trainers and behaviorists come in and work with me and everything but it wasn't successful.
If it gets any worse or if I attack him again, they are facing the hard choice of possibly having to euthanize me because they just don't know what to do and it isn't fair to my brother who they've had for a really long time.
They're doing their best to try to find me a home on their own on other sites like craigslist and facebook but haven't had any luck.
They are keeping me as long as possible but don't know how much more they can take.
They do love me and really, really want me to have another shot at life and a loving home. I am a perfect boy aside from my one little "issue".
If you're interested in meeting me, it is DEFINITELY suggested that I meet your dog(s) if you have any to help ensure that I'll fit in to your family.
If you're looking for a sweet, loving dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.
To make arrangements to meet me, please contact the pound and they will set up a time for my family to bring me in so I can meet you.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER OCTOBER 22, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
