My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoey came to us from a reservation in North Dakota. She has adapted to her new life like she's been here forever! We call her Bug because she is such a snuggle bug! Bug has taken to the 7 year old boy in her foster home and loves to have her morning and evening cuddle time with him. She enjoys her food and shows no territorial issues with food. She has recovered well from her spay and is a very healthy little dog at 17 pounds.
Bug has a small doxie head and a rounder, full-figured beagle type body. She is tri-colored (brown, black and white) and has a white "sock" on one foot and the rest of her toes are tipped in white. She is very well behaved and allows her foster to do routine incision checks, ear checks, and nail clippings. She has chased the resident cats, however we believe this is more of a "my mama" and "my boy" sharing problem than an aggression issue which may resolve as time passes and she is secure in her place in the home. This sweetie would benefit from being an “only” or with another dog or cat that would ignore her. She really wants 100% of the people's attention all the time. She has shown no separation anxiety. Sweet Bug is house trained and kennel trained. She rarely barks but does "talk" when she wants to go outside or her food bowl is empty! She has just started to understand toys and prefers ones that have a very loud squeak! Thus far she has been a very respectful house guest. Bug walks well on a leash. Her foster mom has transitioned her to using a harness for walks because she easily slips her small head out of a collar. She seems to like the harness and struts around when I put it on her. Bug will make an amazing addition to a home. Her love of all people big and small shines through her pretty brown eyes!
