Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please go to our website and complete the online adoption application at www.floridayorkierescue.com. Your application will then be forwarded to the adoption committee and they will contact you. Please note that we receive more applications than we have dogs, so the adoption committee will choose the family they feel will best suit the needs of the dog. A home visit is required and will be conducted.
Introducing May-Ling - This very young 7 lb. yorkie mix was dumped to fend for herself. She roamed the streets for two weeks. Strangers would sometimes feed her. Then one day a Good Samaritan noticed she was injured. Her ankle was dislocated and she received a blunt force injury to her leg. We will never know how she sustained this injury or if it was intentionally done to her. When she arrived she was filthy, matted and full of fleas (see the before photos). She was also was nippy, frightened and in great pain. She had orthopedic surgery on Monday October 20 and her leg has been successfully repaired. She will spend 8 weeks in recovery before she can be adopted. She will be spayed, vaccinated and chipped before she is ready to go. She is a real beauty and we are glad that better days lie ahead for her. If you would like to apply for May-Ling please fill out the online adoption application on our website.
