Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hedy is an 8 year old red long-haired Dachshund (apx 13 lbs) recently released from a commercial breeding facility. She may be very shy and timid but is a happy girl - her tail is constantly wagging. Hedy enjoys hanging with the other dachies in her foster home and has a fondness for the large neighbor dogs. She stays close by her person, enjoying all the pets and loving she can get. Hedy continues to work on on house training, is somewhat comfortable on a leash and does well in the kennel. It is important that she go to a home with other dogs and a fenced yard.
Due to high costs of veterinary care for our rescue dogs the suggested adoption donation is $300.
Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.
