Hi - my name is Ferb. Would you like to have the joy of a playful, clumsy, energetic furbaby iin your family? Well, that's me! My foster mom rescued my Mama from a really nasty animal shelter. She was pregnant with me and my siblings. I was born at my foster mom's home. It would be great if I could show you a few tricks I've learned ~ like how to chase a ball and how to run with my sisters and brothers. I'm really cute as a button. My weight is around 40 lbs. I was born on May10th 2011. Everything is fresh and new to me. Would you be interested in teaching me about the world? Come see me at Little Nugget's Rescue. I'll be waiting.

Adoption fee $200

~Little Nugget's Rescue covers GA and surrounding states for adoptions. We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs), that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as being spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family. Electric fences are NOT allowed. Our approval process consists of an application, vet and reference checks, phone interview and house check. Please see our application for adoption on our website ~ www.littlenuggetsrescue.com

About Little Nuggets Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Little Nuggets Rescue Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, local veterinarians, and local animal shelters we are able to rescue many animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care (medical needs, food and shelter), and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process is as follows:

~ All applicants MUST fill out an application to begin the adoption process (application can be found on our website ~ click on "Visit Little Nuggets Rescue" below. You are more than welcome to call for a phone interview, but I may not be able to answer promptly as I am busy working at the shelter. Please e-mail completed applications to info@littlenuggetsrescue.com

~ We prefer applications from individuals at least 30 years of age or older. If we indicate that a dog is not appropriate for young children, we generally do not recommend that dog for families with children under twelve years of age.

~ Because we are licensed by the state of Georgia, we are also required to complete a home visit. We also check Vet references. ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE VET REFERENCES!

~ When ALL PARTIES are ready to finalize the adoption, we will provide you with copies of the adoption contract and the dog's vet records. A CONTRACT MUST BE SIGNED FOR THE ADOPTION TO BE FINALIZED. The adoption fee ranges from $100.00-200.00. Please note that we fund the medical care, food and boarding costs from our own pockets. We are not subsidized by any state or national programs. The adoption fee marginally covers what we have spent in the case of a healthy dog. For those requiring surgery, dentals or other special procedures, our costs far exceed the adoption fee. We occasionally discount the fee on a case by case basis.

There are instances, particularly in the case of young puppies who cannot be released to their new homes right away, where we may request a non-refundable deposit. Unfortunately, this was implemented after several individuals completed the application process, other applicants were turned away, and these individuals "changed their mind" leaving the dog in question without a new home.

~ We maintain frequent contact with you throughout the first year of adoption.
