Shelby's Story...
Shelby is the PERFECT first time dog for your family! She is quiet, easy going, calm, and house trained. We can take a tasty bone right out of her mouth and she doesn't worry at all. When other dogs had bones and she didn't, she kept her distance and just waited. SHe walks well on a leash and would be a great companion for gentle hikes in the woods or strolls around the block!
Estimated as 1 - 2 years, she weighs 38 lbs.

All of our dogs/pups are fostered at a private residence. They are ALL altered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and treated for internal and external parasites. They are fostered on a lovely farm with lots of cats, horses, farm foul, dogs, and lots of human visitors. Their caregiver is a veterinarian. Please complete an application via email. Once approved, applicants will have the opportunity to meet our pups with an appointment and even speak with a human! Your new pup comes with 30 days free pet health insurance! We schedule appointments on Wednesday evenings and early on Saturdays.

Please contact or go to for an application! NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Pennigton Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Pennigton, or seeking a Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Pennigton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pennigton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pennigton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pennigton paves the way for another one to be saved.
