Wilson's Story...
Meet our sweet little Wilson. We found him dodging traffic on a four lane highway. We were very fortunate that he ran right to us when we stopped because he surely would have gotten killed if we hadn't been there. Wilson is approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years young. He was in pretty rough shape when we got him, starving and loaded with worms and parasites. Well look at this handsome guy now! He's neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He is so ready for his "Furever" home. Won't you please be the one to give him a second chance at a wonderful life? ADOPTION FEE $450

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilson, a Salem Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
