Chrissy's Story...
This dog, like all of our animals, is in a foster home while awaiting adoption. Being in foster care is much healthier, physically and mentally, for dogs than being in a shelter. Foster care helps dogs adjust to life as a family companions and makes the transition to their forever homes easier!

If you are interested in meeting this dog, please email us at grassrootsanimalrescue@gmail.com to set up a meeting. We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility that you can visit. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, preventatives, and spayed or neutered before adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chrissy, a Starkville Pug/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Labrador Retriever for sale in Starkville, or seeking a Pug/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Starkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Starkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Starkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pug/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Starkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
