My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bess is a young, sweet kitty who needs someone who can give her one-on-one attention, and to provide love and patience so she can begin to forget what happened to her in the past. Bess originally lived in a trailer home, but she was discarded outside when she no longer a kitten, she became pregnant even though she was still a baby herself, and had 4 kittens underneath one of the trailer homes. During a huge rainstorm, a neighbor took pity on them, and took them inside because Bess and her kittens were getting all wet and muddy.
Bess very clearly craves attention and so badly needs to be loved, but she remembers her days of trying to protect her kittens and survive outside, so she is hesitant, and is conflicted with what she wants and what her instincts tell her. She is very curious and loves to play with toys on her own or will play if you use a wand toy to play with her. She is fine with respectful children and is curious about other cats. Bess needs someone who can understand what she has been through and show her that she is safe and loved and that she no longer needs to be afraid, but she can be the loving, playful, curious cat that she is and there is someone out there who can teach her that.
