Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi. My name is Phineas. I'm about 2-3 years old and I weigh about 55 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Leetonia area.
You see, if you know huskies, you know we have the reputation of being naughty and that is kind of what got me in "trouble"... You see, I was on the loose and I came to a place with chickens... I wasn't really hungry, but boy was it fun to chase them. I chased and grabbed them. I tossed them in to the air. They made noises and, at the time, it seemed like a fabulous idea, but now I see that it was wrong and I totally shouldn't have done it (that definitely doesn't mean I wouldn't do it again though 'cause I probably would probably do it again in a heartbeat). It's not that I'm a bad dog or a mean dog, huskies just have a high prey drive. It isn't recommended that I be in a home with cats or other small animals unless they're contained well in an area that I cannot get to them.
I get along well with other dogs, my size and even some that are a bit smaller than me but at this point I haven't been around small dogs face to face but seem fine with them through the kennel.
I am a very, very sweet boy with people. I am a happy go lucky kind dog.
I love to run around and play.
I need a home with a sturdy fenced in yard and I should go to a husky savvy home.
Please consider adopting me!!
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER OCTOBER 23, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
