My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Phoenix. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 35 lbs (im thin).
I was found as a stray in the Negley area. I found a nice family's porch and decided I'd take up residence there. I'm was pretty shy there and would let them come near me but I didn't really want them to catch me. I had an injured back leg when they discovered me and I was limping on it a good bit.
When the guy from the pound showed up to get me, I was shy but let him catch me with no problem. I hopped right in to the truck with him. He said I was a nice, quiet passenger. I just curled up and went to sleep.
After just a couple of days of being here at the pound, I am barely limping at all. The best guess at this point is that I either have an old injury that bothers me sometimes or that I was recently injured and it is getting better.
The girls back here at the pound just LOVE me! They say I'm the sweetest, cutest little "mini German Shepherd" boy you'll ever meet.
I am a little timid at first sometimes with new people but I warm right up after just a minute or two.
I get along well with all of the other dogs I have met here at the pound.
If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT%9D. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER OCTOBER 25, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
