My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening friends! Thanks for clicking on my picture! Let me tell you a little bit more about myself so that we can get to know each other better.

My name is Alice and I was found as a stray who was hit by a car in Saginaw Michigan. A really nice shelter volunteer reached out to NBS Animal Rescue to see if they could help me because of their great history of helping dogs with special needs. One of the awesome volunteers at NBS drove right away to pick me up and took me to a really nice foster home!

I went and saw the doggy doctor who took some x-ray pictures of my pelvis and determined that I had fractured it. The good news is that I won't need surgery and it will heal on its own with a little bit of rest and some TLC! I'm taking it easy in my foster home right now and soaking up all the belly rubs, ear scratches and treats that I can!! While I won't be ready to go home for a few weeks, I am not wasting any time in searching for my fur-ever home! I am looking for a family to love me and give me lots of attention! I hope that my new family is home often, has a fenced yard for me to explore, likes to go for short walks, and has either no kids or kids 8+ who are gentle and quiet as I can get a little scared at loud noises and quick movements.

If you think I might be the perfect dog for your family, please visit www.nbsar.org to fill out an online adoption application for me! Thank-you!

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

If you think that I might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the awesome volunteers at N.B.S. Animal Rescue at nbsanimalrescue@gmail.com for any additional information or answers to any questions you might have.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
