My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: All our Cupids are fostered in private homes. An approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Meet Sir Lancelot!
Lancelot the brave? Well, maybe not, but he certainly has spunk! Lancelot is approximately 4 months old and tips the scales currently at 3 pounds! He lives with BIG dogs and small dogs and loves them all. He actually sleeps on top of his foster brother Frankie (a 90-lb. pit bull).

Lancelot can be a bit shy at first. He is initially a bit nervous around new people, so a home with older, respectful children is probably best. He will hide and come out to explore until he feels comfortable, but once he trusts you, it's game on! He is in your lap, giving kisses and wanting to cuddle. He is adorable when he plays with his toys! Most of his stuffies are bigger than him but that doesn’t stop him!

Cuddling on your lap, or under the covers, is an Olympic sport for him and he’s a gold medalist in training! He loves nothing more than lying next to you while you watch TV or do paperwork, etc.

Lancelot doesn’t need to be crated and is perfectly fine being left out when foster mom is at work. Foster mom tried putting him in the “dog room” but turns out he can scale baby gates in a single bound. He will do anything to be in the same room as you!

This future knight-in-shining-armor will make a great addition to any family!

Lancelot’s adoption fee is $350 and he’s located in Milwaukee, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
