Date Posted: September 5, 2009 All About Me: Mika is a 3 year old ferret. She came into rescue with Snowy. They really enjoy each others company and are best friends. They will be adopted together. Ferrets are great pets but they do require a lot of work. The litter pan needs to be scooped at least twice a day. They need time outside of their cage to interact with their family and to get exercise. They are very curious about their surroundings so you would need to ferret proof your house so they would not be able to hurt themselves or cause damage. They are meat eaters so other small animals would need to be kept away from them at all times.
