Find a pet to adopt
I am housetrained and good with kids.
Date Posted: September 5, 2009 All About Me: Mika is a 3 year old ferret. She came into rescue with Snowy. They really enjoy each others company and are best friends. They will be adopted together. Ferrets are great pets but they do require a lot of work. The litter pan needs to be scooped at least twice a day. They need time outside of their cage to interact with their family and to get exercise. They are very curious about their surroundings so you would need to ferret proof your house so they would not be able to hurt themselves or cause damage. They are meat eaters so other small animals would need to be kept away from them at all times.

Why Adoption is a Great Option
Mika, a Old Fort Ferret was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ferret for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Ferret from a breeder in Old Fort.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies
of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it
much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder,
or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for
a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home.
In fact, there are even Ferret breeders who
help with Ferret rescue. One puppy or kitten
adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
