On Sunday we were on our way to church and found 2 abandoned puppies. They were in the road so we had to stop. When Harold blew the horn they ran to the car. I got out and they came to me. I put them in the car and they collapsed. They were starving, dehydrated, and exhausted. They ate, drank a bowl of water and went to sleep. I picked a total of 21 ticks out of their ears. The fleas were unbelievable. I treated them for worms and put flea and tick stuff on them. they slept for hours. Ate and drank some more, walked around a bit then went back to sleep for the rest of the night.

They found out how to use the doggy door on Monday as soon as they saw my other dog use it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Possum, a Old Fort Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
