Max's Story...
My name isMax and my owner recently died so Maltese Rescue brought me to a nice foster home. Now I am seeking a new forever family as I am a wonderful 4 year old, purebred male Maltese. I am neutered, my shots are current, and have a microchip. All my life I saw the vet every year for checkup, and I am very healthy. I currently weigh 13 lbs, and I should weigh 8 lbs. I haven’t had much exercise lately so I am ready for more exercise as I enjoy going for walks. My hair is a soft white and easy to maintain. Here’s my best attribute...I am super friendly sweet and friendly. I enjoy chasing and playing with other small dogs. Now what makes me very happy is sitting or snuggling next to a person. I hope you think I am the dog for you, so please go to Maltese Rescue CA website and submit an online adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
