My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tommy! This calm and lovable gentleman is 84 pounds and estimated to be somewhere between 5 and 8 years old. Tommy might not be the youngest or most agile dog on the block (and he snores REALLY loudly!), but everyone he meets instantly falls in love with him!

Tommy really only wants love and affection, from as many people and animals as possible. Stop to pet him, and he’ll immediately bulldoze his head or behind into you, with a goofy snaggletoothed smile on his face! He is fully house trained (not one accident!), and is making fast progress with some basic commands. He is still learning his leash manners, but walks perfectly with a no-pull harness!

Tommy gets sad (but never destructive) when left alone, so he would do best in a home where he can get the attention he deserves. Nothing fazes this big guy, and he gets along wonderfully with all of the people and dogs that he has met. While he’s not super playful with his current doggy roommates, he does occasionally walk up to them and lick their faces! Tommy has not been cat tested, but would most likely be fine with them too.

Tommy is being fostered in Somerville.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Tommy
