My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calli came into rescue with her 7 pups. She's such a good mama she willingly took on a newborn orphan pup without hesitating.

No one could ask for a better dog and friend than my Calli….she loves unconditionally…she will hold your hand and your heart for as long as you let her…she will let your children climb all over her and love every moment of it….she is so good that only an evil heart could have tossed her into a ditch to give birth on an icy night….

Calli, about 4 years old, is a solid black Lab Newfoundland mix who has so much love it overflows her 90 pound body! She loves people, including kids. She has a terrific time playing and hanging out with other dogs. She doesn't mind cats. She's housebroken.

Calli didn't have enough to eat at some point in her life, and is a certified food hoarder. When she's eaten her fill, she'll take the rest and "hide it" - sometimes in the corner of the kitchen, sometimes in another room (bowl and all). If she can't hide it, she'll guard it. Calli does best fed measured amounts separate from other dogs, as opposed to free feeding. She is NOT at all food aggressive with people.

All of Calli's babies have found their forever homes. Now it's time for Calli to find hers.

We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***
