Peri's Story...
(FOR MORE INFO- EMAIL SANDY AT vshutchins@gmail.com)This sweet girl is Peri. Her and her 6 siblings were born to a stray momma that ended up in a kill shelter 4 days before she gave birth. Peri and her siblings were born on Sept 4th. The mom looks to be Aussie/ Catahoula mix- she is a blue merle color. We have no idea on dad/dads! Peri looks like her daddy must of been Border Collie as she looks just like one and has a wonderful sweet personality as the whole litter does. She will be spayed on Nov 7th and ready for her forever home soon after. She will also be up to date on vaccines. worming , etc. She is currently located in Arkansas but we have dogs transported to the Northeast weekly through Got Orphans Transport once they are adopted. You can check them out at www.gotransporters.com For more info and an application- please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com and Thank you so much for considering adoption

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peri, a Salem Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Salem, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
