Ivy's Story...
Ivy is approximately 8 months old, a Shih Tzu/Terrier mix. Ivy's owner passed away so she came to rescue. Ivy is fun, active, and good with other dogs. Her wirey coat will not require much in the way of grooming. Up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped, Ivy will make a wonderful companion for any lucky family.Suggested adoption donation for Ivy is $300-350 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivy, a Omaha Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Omaha, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Omaha.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Omaha already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Omaha breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Omaha paves the way for another one to be saved.
