peaches's Story...
Meet Peaches! If you are looking for a sweet little dog to brighten your day, look no further than Peaches! Recently arrived at the ARF shelter, this little Chihuahua / basenji mix is now patiently waiting for her forever home. Whatever the mix, she is spirited and friendly to everyone she meets. She is well adjusted and well cared for and would make a great family pet. At only 2 years old, Peaches is a true joy of a dog, energetic, funny, and spunky. She is very attentive and watchful but she still loves to curl up after a hard day of performing all of her doggie duties...ball chasing, investigating, and keeping squirrels out of the yard. She will make a great addition to any home!

Life has been quite an adventure for little Peaches, but now all she needs is a loving family to call her own. If you would like to make Peaches dream come true, stop by the shelter to meet her. You won’t be sorry!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

peaches, a Berea Chihuahua/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Basenji for sale in Berea, or seeking a Chihuahua/Basenji dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Basenji breeders who help with Chihuahua/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
