My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the North Texas or Oklahoma City area.

NAME: Brody
GENDER: Male (Neutered)
AGE: About 4.5 years
WEIGHT: About 5 lbs
DOGS/CATS: Great with other dogs, Unsure with cats
CHILDREN: Because of his small size, only homes with older children are appropriate

Brody is an adorable, loving black and tan little man! Brody bonds quickly to whoever is caring for him and has earned the nickname "velcro" among the baby sitters he's had. He always wants to be with his people and loves sitting on your lap or next to you. And he will follow you everywhere you go.

Brody likes other dogs and gets along fine with the resident dogs but he would also do well as an only dog. Brody also loves toys! Small fuzzy ones are his favorite. He plays fetch but his favorite game seems to be taking toys out of the toy box and scattering them around the house.

Despite being through a lot in the last month, Brody is a loving, happy, ell-adjusted boy. His previous owners dropped him off at the Watuga Animal Shelter because they were moving. This turned out to be a lucky break for Brody as he had a non-functioning knee and wasn't able to walk upright. Poor little boy was born this way and has been walking crouched over all his life. The shelter reached out to CRT knowing this sweet, adorable, little man would never be adopted with this condition. CRT took Brody in and got him the much needed surgery which allowed him to walk like a normal dog for the first time in his life! Even before his surgery he loved to go on walks. He loves them even more now that he can walk normally!

Brody is house trained, walks well on a leash, and gets along with other dogs of all sizes. He also recently had his teeth cleaned. He is missing most of his teeth and it appears he was born this way. He is a trim 5 pounds, and is about 4 1/2 years old.

Brody deserves a home with the family that loves him and can provide his with the care he needs. If you'd like that family to be yours, please fill out an application to meet Brody today.

Brody is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $200 adoption fee is required.
