This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the North Texas or Oklahoma City area.

Meet Katara, a beautiful solid white female Chihuahua with a sweet soul. This little girl wants to love you, and she is hoping to find her forever home very soon. If you are attracted to a gently spirit, Katara is the one for you.
Katara was found running lost in a field along side of MoMo (who we believe may be her son). Although very thin, she was happy to see a human and be rescued into a loving environment. After an unsuccessful attempt to find her original family, CRT agreed to take Katara into our program so we could help her find a great forever home.
Katara is approximately 3 years old. She is a little shy when she first meets you. But she quickly warms up and then becomes your loving best friend. Katara is very smart. She picked up the routines in her foster home almost immediately and we know you will be impressed with her intelligence.
Katara loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. We believe she would love to have a brother or sister to play with in her new home. She also loves to run and explore in the yard. But her new family will need to be VERY careful. She is especially curious about any small crack in the fence, and she may be a runner. So please be sure your yard and fence are super secure before adopting her!
Katara is also a big cuddler. In the evening, she loves to crawl up on the chair and lay next to you and you watch TV. She loves her humans, and loves to follow you around.
As we mentioned, Katara is very smart. She is house trained and pee pee pad trained. She is also crate trained. She is not a big barker, but will let you know if a stranger is approaching the house. Once she knows you are safe, she is calm and accepting. She is a bit shy around visitors, and will take her ques from you to let her know that things are OK.
Katara is a perfect size at about 6 pounds. She should do great in a home with a family and although there are no children in her foster home, she has been fine with children at adoption events. She is looking for a calm, loving home to call her own. Is that home yours?
Katara is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $200 adoption fee is required.
