My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hiya! I'm Athena (sometimes known as Athea too) and you know you've been looking for me! Come meet me and you'll want to take me home, I promise. I totally rock and I love people and I will shower you with love and affection and smile and wag my tail whenever you look at me. I'll even let you hug me and kiss me.

I'm somewhere around 1 years old or so they think and I hear I'm a Husky/Shepherd mix. More Husky than Shepherd for sure - can't you see how regal I look? I promise to be loyal and make you feel like you are the most important person in the world to me. Because you are.

I'm playful and it's really fun to pounce on tennis balls and sometimes even catch them and chase them too. I can even entertain myself by tossing the ball in the air myself and catching it over and over again. And fluffy toys too. And squeaky toys too. Those are really fun to toss around and shake a lot.

I also love playing with other dogs - especially tug-o-war.

I'm pretty active so a family who likes to play and walk and maybe has another dog around would be so cool to live with.

What else do you want to know about me? My foster mama says that I'm totally devoted and will get attached to you quickly and she would totally keep me if she could so call LoveHabitat soon before she changes her mind and figures out how to keep me. I'm always happy and really sweet and you'll fall in love with me right away, I promise. In fact you'll wonder how you lived without me for so long!

For the fine print, I have my shots and am chipped and spayed. I was saved from a high kill shelter with a wound on my leg. My rescue got me fully vetted and I'm better now. My leg is pretty much healed and even though it looks a little funny it doesn't stop me from playing or running or anything at all.

I'm learning basic commands and how to walk on a leash and I have lots of energy and will make you very happy.

I hope you'll take me home. I really want a forever home with someone who will love and protect me and let me do the same for them. You'll never feel alone if I'm with you and I'll make you smile all the time.

Love Habitat Rescue thanks you for considering adopting a rescue like me. I'll thank you with lots of kisses for adopting me.
