Here's what the humans have to say about me:
STOP! PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFO BELOW BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT A DOG FOR ADOPTION
Please meet Watson! He is a beautiful cream French bulldog, and came into BBR’s care after his previous owner tied him to a tree outside a shelter. Watson is a total sweetheart! He is not an “in your face” kind of guy. He loves attention, but does prefer his dog bed when in the room with you. Watson has shown no aggression of any type, and is learning to sit for treats. He loves to go outside and walks beautifully on a leash. Watson gets along well with other dogs. Because he came from a shelter and we don’t know anything about his background, Watson will need a home with children who are 8 years old and above.
In regards to Watson’s medical history, he had some x-rays after coming into our care which showed a deformity ion his spine near his neck; his spine curves downward. Even though he has this curvature, Watson gets around surprisingly well; he just has a bit of an awkward gait. Since he does struggle a bit with use of his back legs, he will need a home without stairs (or with very few stairs he would need to use). Watson is not a candidate for surgery to correct the curvature, and he does not seem to be in any pain from it. When he is on concrete, he does drag his back feet, so he is best to be exercised in a yard.
All in all, Watson is a wonderful little guy with a fantastic temperament, and is sure to make someone a very happy Frenchie owner! He is neutered, up to date on shots, and housetrained (he has had very few accidents in the foster home, but this may be due to his spine issue). Please consider opening up your heart and giving Watson his loving furever home!
Adoption donation for Watson is $450. For more info on Watson, please visit his webpage: www.buckeyebulldogrescue.org/watson.html
Please note: We will not ship our dogs. Adopters must live in or within 2 hours of Ohio. All of our dogs are kept in private foster homes and for the privacy of our foster families, we do not allow meet and greets until the potential adopter's application has been approved. To fill out an application to adopt, please visit our website at www.buckeyebulldogrescue.org. Once the application is received, we will conduct a home visit and a vet check.
