My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jordan is Adopted

Jordan is currently being fostered in Rossford Ohio, and his adoption donation/fee is $250

Jordan is a beautiful male all black cocker spaniel, he is 3 yrs old (birthdate is Dec. 2010), and came to us as an owner surrender. He was given up by his original owner due to her being gone long hours, and living in an apartment where Jordan was not able to get the exercise he needed. He has been in foster care for about a month now, and here is what we know about him.
Jordan is a super sweet boy, he is loving and affectionate, and is very loyal to his human. He really does have a very nice and docile disposition overall. He loves, loves, loves to play with his toys, and does have a tendency to guard them, especially from other dogs. He is getting much better with this behavior however, since his foster has been working with him. Jordan is well behaved, is house and crate trained, he uses a doggy door in his foster home now, so he is used to this method of going outside.

He does well with other dogs, but needs an owner that can continue to work with him on his toy guarding as needed. He would probably do best in a home as an only dog, but can adjust to a home with others. We think Jordan is a great dog, and his foster says he is such a sweetheart, he is going to be a great dog for the right person someday. He is a larger cocker at 38 lbs, and does need to lose a few pounds, which can easily be done with proper exercise and diet. We are not recommending a home with young children for Jordan due to his toy guarding, however children over 12 will be fine.

Jordan is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative.
