Hello, I'm Sophia! I have the most amazing big, beautiful, green eyes and cute little freckles on my legs. I'm an independent girl but love to spend time with my people, too. In fact, I can be so happy to see you that I will tell you so with my cute little meows - my foster mom calls it my "chipper/chat" - and thinks it adds to my sweet demeanor. She says she's always excited to see me because she knows I will be looking for some convo and love. She likes my personality and says I am an enjoyable presence. How about that (said proudly)?! Currently, I live with a small dog and two cats. I feel comfortable around the dog because she lets me do my thing. I may not do well with all dogs. I'm slowly getting to know the cats, too - for now we hang out separate. If I could pick my ideal home, it would be one where I was the only pet. This is how I am the happiest and feel the most comfortable. I love hanging out in the window and playing with my toys - I especially love to play with the wand toy! I don't need a lot of playtime, though...I'm definitely a pretty chill girl. Sometimes when I'm looking for some attention, I will let you know with the signature cat head-butt. This usually means I want to have my chin and face scratched and to snuggle up close. My foster mom says I'm a great "spooner." As for the basics, I got 'em mastered - I use my litter box like a champ. I am doing wonderful with my scratch post training and my foster mom can see how smart I am! We are also making progress trimming my nails - regular practice and going at my pace has helped me to do better with the nail trims. I like to take some time to get to know new people and prefer to be the one to initiate petting. But once I'm comfortable with you, I love to be loved on. I'm looking for a calm home. I would do best in a home without children - it's really important to me that everyone is respectful of my space consistently and reliably. I feel the most secure when I know I'm with people who love me for me. So what are you waiting for?! I can't wait to find my forever home!
