Kylie's Story...
Meet Kylie! Kylie was rescued in Puerto Rico. She is approximately 5-6 months old. Like many Puerto Rican dogs, we are hard pressed to guess at her breed mix, but she definitely has Shepherd in her, possibly along with Lab or Hound. Kylie is very active and would do well in an active family who has time to spend with her. Kylie learns quickly and would do well in obedience training. She is good with other dogs but would do well with another larger dog. She is a bit much for smaller dogs. All Kylie wants to do is play and give kisses! If you are interested in her, please contact us or see her at our Saturday adoption events 11 am - 3 pm at the Sterling Heights Petco by Lakeside Mall (by Hall Road and Schoenherr, right next to ToysRUs).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kylie, a Sterling Heights Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
